Aleksandar Milev
I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Knitwear and Knitted Textiles student. I have a big appreciation and love for draping and creating a story through fashion. During my time at Nottingham Trent University, I have been able to learn more and find my own creative path as a designer, whilst also honing in my technical skills. Knitwear is incredibly versatile and everchanging, so that is why I am incredibly drawn to it. My collection explores the process of ''coming out'', and the queer experiences surrounding it. It's a mixture of my love for distress, drape, and fine gauge knit. In this project I was able to explore all of the different ways knitted fabrics can be created, and also try to innovate through using zero waste-patterns. Accessories are something that I think finishes the look, so I also spent time 3D modelling and printing handles for bags to fully realise my ideas.
