William-Minton-Westhead

Hi, I’m William Minton-Westhead, BA (Hons) Fine Art Student. My works are intense, energetically charged, explorative, experimental, imaginative and dark in theme revolving around horror and fantasy, focusing on the psychological and subject matter that captives me be it historical settings or video games. I use pencil, biro, mixed media, printing, collage, digital techniques and film-making to convey my visions. My art is an exploration of my state of mind and I am instinctively drawn towards shadowed themes. Darkness, in my practice, is not simply aesthetic; it is a language through which I process and communicate internal experiences. Textures entice me, I love to create and manipulate texture in my work to grip the viewer, to create direction and have a sense or feel to explore the piece. Ultimately I plan to share my works to express myself, inspire and create a sense of community. I intend to make viewers reflect, relate and experience.
