I am a creatively ambitious maker with an interest in millinery and costume prop. Technically skilled, I can draft complex patterns and finish projects to a high standard of finish, competently choosing the correct fabrics and techniques for each design. My passion lies in pushing the boundaries of my own craft to create visually interesting final products. My two final year projects are both based on children's books that explore more complex emotional themes, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and Where Ocean Meets Sky by The Fan Brothers, allowing for interesting explorations of character through costume. I enjoy linking design elements back to important story beats to help develop an intricate visual narrative. This extends into my personal projects, where I try to weave in story elements wherever possible. I have a deep love for costume and craft, and look forward to seeing where my creative journey takes me next.
