I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Design student. My practice explores the rich visuals of black culture ,stemming from Africa ,to the Caribbean to America and how all these historical aspects how Black people influenced and impacted media and the fashion world, I wanted my final year to reflect a part of my indenture and being able to explore and share this with others through my collection “Black to Roots” as a homage to remember and embrace yourself and your background .This collection consists of bright colours inspired from Africa ,tailoring inspired from history and styling influenced from modern streetwear. After graduating, I hope to continue explore different creative skills that I can contribute back to my experience in fashion.
