My name is Niamh, and I am a Fashion Management student from Maidenhead. During my placement year, I gained valuable experience working as a PR & marketing Intern at Hayley Menzies, followed by a Sales Intern role at Oldstrom, a wholesale and PR agency. These opportunities have equipped me with a strong understanding of brand communication and varying business operations and models, preparing me for my final year at university. I have developed practical and creative skills through academic and personal projects. For example, my involvement in a group project ‘Notts Reimagined’ allowed me to explore sustainable fashion, and I upcycled and sewed a t-shirt and tote bag as part of a retail concept proposal. Additionally, I have upcycled and resold vintage clothing on secondhand retail sites, combining my love of sustainable fashion wit current trends. In the future, I am keen to further expand my knowledge within fashion buying and wholesale, working with brands that align with my values.
