I’m a Lily Mostowfi, a final-year Fashion Management student at Nottingham Trent University. I’ve always been drawn to the fast-moving nature of fashion, particularly where creativity meets commercial thinking. During my placement year at Primark’s Dublin head office as a Trainee Buyer in womenswear footwear, I was fully immersed in the buying process. From trend research and comp shopping to working closely with suppliers and developing product, I loved seeing how ideas evolve into ranges that customers connect with. That experience really confirmed my passion for buying and strengthened my confidence working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. I’m particularly interested in creating product that feels current and considered, always keeping the customer at the centre of every decision. In the future, I hope to grow within a buying role where I can continue developing my eye for product and play a part in building ranges that people genuinely connect with.
