I’m Matilda, a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and Branding student, excited to break into the creative industry! Across my three years on FMB I’ve developed a strategic, critical and always creative approach to my work, and recognised my love for both written and visual communication. During a semester abroad at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, I picked up skills in forecasting, journalism and integrated marketing, and gained valuable insights into the beauty industry and the fashion business law landscape. For my final year, my research has focused on the emerging concept of third spaces and their relationship to shifting consumer expectations towards belonging. My stage one report uncovered new opportunities for brands within these spaces, and provided insights into how they can successfully create environments that encourage connection, community and culture. I’m ready to step into the professional world and remain creatively and culturally curious.
