I'm Leah Skuse, a final year BA (Hons) Photography student at Nottingham Trent University, specialising in fashion, product, music and travel photography. My work explores themes of intimacy and identity, creating a visual diary of the world around me. I am drawn to creating imagery that expresses authenticity and connection, inspired by the likes of Elaine Constantine and Corrine Day. My latest project, 'Tender Archives' is a documentary-inspired fashion editorial, that reflects on people’s collections and why we choose to cherish certain objects. Through nostalgia, self-expression and storytelling, the project is a visual record of people’s extensions of their identities. It builds on my previous project 'Bloom' that explored clothing as a form of self-expression and individuality, documenting student’s current styles against the backdrop of Nottingham. I'm based in Surrey and after I graduate I aspire to collaborate with more amazing creatives and fashion brands.
