Carrie Savill is a Suffolk-based photographer studying at Nottingham Trent University. She has been interested in photography since a young age and enjoys exploring a range of styles and perspectives. Her current practice explores storytelling through myth, landscape, and experimental processes, drawing inspiration from Greek mythology, traditional folktales, and local narratives. She is particularly interested in the representation of women within these stories, often focusing on themes of transformation, absence, and misinterpretation.
Carrie enjoys working across a wide range of photographic styles and approaches, valuing material experimentation as a key part of her creative process. This openness allows her to continually develop her visual language, combining traditional photography with mixed media techniques. With a recent interest in exploring how images can transform and turn into tactile outcomes, creating immersive, sensory experiences that invite personal interpretation.
