Jasmine Pickford

I am a costume maker and designer who has a passion for a range of genres and styles. My three-year degree has taught me a variety of skills including millinery, working with difficult materials, and designing for different productions and budgets. I undertook a placement for a dance production, making and designing the entire show's costumes, working alongside a fellow student. In my final year I completed two main projects. The first was a large-scale pantomime of Cinderella, for which I designed costumes for the whole cast. I then chose to construct my design for the Ugly Sister to wear in the finale. Whilst my final design and construction project was a self-directed TV adaptation of Noël Coward’s Hay Fever. Designing a suite of costumes, I made a 1920s evening gown and accessories for Sorel Bliss. After graduating, I hope to continue working in costume, developing my skills as part of a creative team, across both film and live productions.
