Jadharmani Webb

I am a final year BA (Hons) Fine Art student. My practice explores photography as a critical tool to examine everyday objects and spaces, using shifts in perspective and digital manipulation to disrupt the familiar and make it feel strange and unfamiliar. Through the considered use of angle, framing, and editing, the work reconfigure ordinary subject matter, allowing it to be encountered in a different light. Alongside my practice, I maintain a strong interest in creative expression beyond my course, particularly through dancing and singing. Looking forward, I intend to pursue further education in psychology and develop a career within the field. My time on the course has significantly expanded my understanding of what art can be, challenging previous assumptions and revealing the depth and breadth of contemporary practice. I have come to particularly appreciate the openness of the discipline and the wide range of approaches through which meaning can be explored and communicated.
