Emily Botha

I am a final-year BA (Hons) Fashion Management student whose work explores the interconnected areas of the fashion industry and how they come together to create a finished product. Over the past three years, I have strengthened both my creative and analytical skills. During my second year in Nottingham, I had the opportunity to spend a semester abroad in New York. This experience broadened my understanding of how the global fashion industry operates and helped me discover my passion for sustainability and improving current industry practises. Inspired by this, I chose to focus my dissertation on fruit-based bio-leathers and their potential as a commercially sustainable alternative to traditional leather in the fashion industry.
