My FMP looks at how women are seen in public spaces, balancing strength and softness through shape and silhouette. This collection focuses on how women present themselves in the workplace. It explores the balance between power dressing and fitting in, and the feeling of being “too much” or “not enough". The designs show the quiet power women often have, where success doesn’t always need to be seen. I use layering, exposed construction, and tailoring details like the tie to show ideas of control and authority. A key part of my work is mixing different tailoring fabrics in each outfit. This layering shows how women build a look for work to present themselves in a certain way. The exposed construction of the garments represents their inner strength.
