I am a final year student on the BA (Hons) Fashion Design degree. The theme of my graduation design focuses on the new family relationship between pets and humans. Based on my own daily experience as a dog owner of Generation Z, I have deeply studied the needs of ‘human-pet coexistence’ in urban life, especially in the outdoor scene, where both functionality and emotional connection are reflected. In the project, I took the high-frequency interaction of walking the dog as the entry point, and put outdoor functionality as the core design, developing a design solution with both practical needs and emotional temperature. Through technological innovations such as adjustable traction systems, waterproof and wear-resistant fabrics, and reflective safety details, my designs simultaneously meet the practical needs of owners and pets in different environments. In the future, I hope to continue exploring the design possibilities of the human-pet symbiosis in the field of fashion.
