Vrishti Khandelwal

I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Design student. My design practice explores the fusion of diverse aesthetics and cultural narratives, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. I am particularly interested in the dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and modern silhouettes, with a focus on texture and surface manipulation. My latest collection Threads of Contrast celebrates the coexistence of Indian and British cultures, reflecting themes of identity, heritage and transformation. For this project, I collaborated with Indian artisan Jai Dev to develop intricate embroidery techniques. I have previously received the Academic Excellence Award and volunteered at events such as Lakmé Fashion Week and Indian Craft Week. Beyond design, I am passionate about visual storytelling, often using fashion as a medium to explore concepts of identity and belonging. After graduation, I aspire to work under a renowned designer to gain further industry insight before launching my label.
