Specialising my research within the field of contemporary costume design for theatre and live performance, this body of work with my portfolio encapsulates the cultural trends and social expression of the 21st century, engaging with matters of technological developments and new age stage concert design. Often using the means of textiles and silhouette to portray characterisation within my designs, I am keen to express narrative using storytelling within my work, illustrating emotion and movement using a variety of versatile materials. My work often engages with modern topics as well as current social epidemics as demonstrated within the dystopian twist on Frankenstein: the creator and the creature, an exploration of Frankenstein, the book written by Mary Shelley, presented in a futuristic universe exploring the union of artificial intelligence and humanity. Focusing my interest on representing the modern social world is a key focal point of my designs.
