Madeleine Sanders

I am a woven textile designer with a passion for natural, textural and floral elements. During my final year project Lasting Impressions I worked with areas of collapse weave and explored other ways to express texture and form. The purpose of my designs is to portray the imperfect impressions of decay, making it the norm to appreciate the weathered, fractured and distorted areas in our home. They deserved to be cherished, not discarded. Through the use of weave, print, and other mixed media, I enjoy creating interior collections with the purpose of long lasting, and sophisticated designs. Through my success in the Paul Vogel Competition and work experience with Taylor Howes Interiors, I have gained valuable experience within high end interior design as well as mid – market fashion. I aim to carry on my career within the interiors and woven textile industry.
