After completing a year in industry as a tailor, in conjunction to my BA studies, I developed a deep interest in the traditions of tailoring—particularly how garments evolve and modernise over time. While my formal training focused on menswear tailoring, my creative and academic exploration has centred on reinterpreting classic techniques, examining how traditional menswear practices transition into and influence womenswear. My work is rooted in research, experimentation, and a respect for craft. I’m especially fascinated by the tension between heritage and innovation—how garments carry the weight of tradition while offering space for reinvention. Much of my practice is also deeply personal, often drawing from my own heritage and the lasting significance of family, memory, and identity. I have recently completed a Master’s degree at Nottingham Trent University, where I continued to explore these themes through both practical work and theoretical inquiry.
