Halima Mahmood

As a BA (Hons) Fashion Design student, my practice has explored the intersection of storytelling, culture, and creativity. Throughout my degree, I have engaged in projects such as examining the duality of mental health, where I designed a reversible dress inspired by the film Black Swan. In my final year, I delved into my own cultural heritage, producing a collection of dynamic and meaningful pieces that celebrate identity through fashion. I also expanded my skills into menswear during a collaboration with Universal Works, where I created a 90s inspired puffer jacket featuring a custom face print design. After graduating, I aim to continue developing my creative voice, pursuing a design role where I can bring together strong research and bold innovation.
