Gemma Deadman

I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Management student with a passion for inclusive, sustainable, and forward-thinking design. During my placement year as a Buyers Admin Assistant at Lands’ End, I developed a deep understanding of the global fashion industry, collaborating with teams across the US, Germany, and Hong Kong. My dissertation explores how adaptive fashion can improve the quality of life for physically disabled professionals, aiming to guide high-street retailers towards more inclusive practices. I also gained the Sustainability in Practice Award at university, which strengthened my awareness of fashion’s environmental impact and the need for ethical decision-making. After graduating, I aspire to pursue a career as a Buyer, championing both inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability in every collection I help bring to life.
