Daisy Booth

I am a final year BA (Hons) Costume Design and Construction student. I have a strong passion for creating impactful costumes that incorporate my embroidery and textile background. At university, I have been able to combine these skills with new ones such as fitting made-to-measure garments, pattern drafting, millinery and knitting for stage and screen productions. I have successfully developed my designs, by improving my character illustrations, character research, mood boards and general fabric knowledge that benefits my construction process. These skills have advanced my garment construction knowledge as I am versatile in many fabrics. I am keen to use all I’ve learnt in all aspects of the industry and as a highly motivated individual I envision myself making and designing for theatres, films and related businesses. I aim to present my creativity through structured sewing like suit tailoring, musicals and dance performances and operas. This will help me enhance my skills and travel.
