Having worked in both costume design and construction I have developed a deep appreciation for the art of visually bringing characters to life and anchoring them within their narrative worlds. I believe that costume is a powerful tool to capture a character's essence and enhance the overall impact of the story. My passion lies in achieving this through a combination of thorough research, thoughtful design, and skilled construction. Within the projects that I have completed during my course at university, I found it important to challenge myself to explore a wide range of methods and processes across both design and making. This has enabled me to achieve a variation of character specific outcomes, each one tailored to the narrative and emotional core of the role it supports. I have found a love for both design and construction and I’m eager to gain more experience and develop my skills in both areas throughout my career.
