I am a knitted textiles specialist who loves creating innovative knitted fabrics with bright colours, bold designs and exciting textures. I have a playful approach to design and enjoy being hands on with my knitting, trying out new techniques and developing unique fabrics. I am passionate about sustainability and am constantly asking in my design practice, how can I make sustainable clothes fun? I aimed to answer this question in my final year project, in which I explored how colour and texture can be used to design garments which evoke positive emotions in the wearer and create emotional durability. I recently took part in a design competition with Joules who loved how my designs were fun and playful while still staying true to their brand. I was one of the competition winners and will take part in an internship with them this summer. I am excited to continue to develop my innovative design practice and understanding of knit techniques and machines through industry experience.
