I am currently studying on the MA in Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent University. I have done my BA in Fashion Design and I was awarded a Gold Medal at the end of my degree for securing the highest GPA among the cohort. For my MA project, I have taken inspiration from my own journey of dealing with scoliosis. I have divided the whole journey into three different stages i.e., pre-surgery, during-surgery, and post-surgery and produced a collection of three outfits. During this degree, I explored embroidery, laser cutting, engraving and heat transfer techniques. I also challenged my pattern cutting skills to produce interesting silhouettes. I hope my collection reaches to every scoliosis survivor and delivers my story in a beautiful way. I look forward to taking all the skills that I have learnt from my BA and MA Fashion Design degrees forward and start my career in the fashion industry. I plan to work for fashion brands, and I wish to have my own design label in the upcoming years.
