My name is Zara! I am a final-year Fashion Management student at Nottingham Trent University. I am a driven and commercially aware individual with a strong interest in buying. During my year-long buying placement at Ralph Lauren, I gained first-hand experience of the full buying cycle and had the opportunity to buy for my own categories within menswear, developing valuable analytical and decision-making skills. Prior to university, I studied at the Fashion Retail Academy, where I first discovered my ambition to pursue a career in fashion and decided to continue my studies at Nottingham Trent University. Through collaborative projects such as “Nottingham Reimagined”, my degree has helped me develop strong transferable skills that have shaped my final business plan, which focuses on a fashion rental and styling service. After graduating, I hope to work in a branded buying role for a premium fashion retailer, where I can gain exposure to different brands and consumers.
