My name is Sophie Getty, and I am a Graphic Design student at Nottingham Trent University. My background in design is very broad, encompassing my previous study of Textile Design, Photography, Fashion Design and Graphics and I enjoy utilising the wide ranging insight this has afforded me in all of my work. I revel in the use of colour and I am inspired by work that I find progressive and original, regardless of its genre. When approaching a new brief, I enjoy immersing myself deeply in research as I find this encourages a strategic perspective. Moreover, I find this approach best generates unique and fresh ideas that genuinely relate to the brand, product or campaign, and importantly provides the greatest prospect of connecting with people. To achieve this, I enjoy experimenting with different techniques and software to generate holistic graphic solutions that are expansive, and have the adaptability to be integrated across a variety of different touchpoints and media.
