My name is Roxana Florence Macovei and I am a final year BA (Hons) Costume Design and Construction student. During my studies I developed a love for historical costumes and millinery, which I have cultivated in the past three years. As part of my final year project, I created 10 designs and constructed a costume for an imagined theatrical production of "The Woman in White" by Wilkie Collins. This project allowed me to fully explore my interest in 19th-century fashion, with a strong emphasis on historical detail, silhouette, research and contemporary construction techniques. After graduating, I aim to specialise in theatrical millinery and keep expanding my skills and knowledge.
