I am a BA (Hons) Illustration student based in Nottingham, currently in my final year. My work has a distinctly retro appearance with many of my pieces focusing on nostalgia and comfort. I am inspired by all things vintage, with a particular interest in comic books throughout the Golden, Silver and Bronze ages, which has a big stylistic influence on my work. Despite working primarily digitally, I aim to faithfully reproduce analogue techniques such as halftone colour printing, as well as using a variety of authentic paper and ink textures. The aim of my work is to immerse the viewer in the atmosphere of the piece, often illustrating quiet moments in calm spaces to evoke a feeling of nostalgia, relaxation and wonder. In my third year at university I have had the opportunity to expand my practice, working with 3D modelling software, experimenting with casting and mould making, and creating animations, in addition to my usual digital illustrations.
