Hallo, I am Maddy, an illustrator with a love for all things fun and peculiar. I am fascinated by clever and imaginative design, and objects with a story. I embed my own experiences into what I make through colourful visual explorations of my surroundings, inspired by who and what I see whilst exploring mountains and woodlands, I transform what I see into objects with presence and personality. I've done projects ranging from normal to abnormal, from building simple narratives for storybooks, to constructing giant 2.5 meter long beetles, each project I embark on decorates me with valuable learned experiences that I take forward into what I design next. I work with both digital and physical media, from hand-processing pigments from turmeric root to colour schools of paper fish, to creating digital projections and creative web design. In my future I hope to see more environments that encourage learning and discovery and many more encourage adventurous
