I am a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Management student. Moving to the UK on my own at a young age was the pinnacle of independence for me. It taught me to say ‘yes’ to the uncomfortable and lean into the challenges, a mindset which follows me into everything I do to this day. Having worked on the retail shop floor for many years, both in the UK and abroad, is where I learned to listen. It made me understand how people express themselves through fashion and reasons affecting their purchasing decisions. This became the foundation of my final year project on luxury streetwear and consumers purchasing behaviour towards it. Spending my placement year at NewEra as a Product Developer was another turning point for me. It solidified my love for streetwear and more importantly my interest in the technical side of the industry. I am eager to begin my career in a luxury or premium environment where I can bring both my consumer insights and Product Development experience together.
