Hey! My name is Nev, and I’m a third-year BA (Hons) Illustration student. My practice has always been rooted in experimentation and play, with a focus on finding beauty in the mundane. I often replace realistic colours with a bright, colourful palette and incorporate dynamic compositions to bring my work to life. Elevating my still illustrations by animating certain elements. While I primarily work digitally, I continue to incorporate traditional methods and use my sketchbook as a space to freely create without any constrictions. Recently, my increased involvement in commercial illustration has pushed my creative approaches, and this has solidified my visual style. Bold, fun, playful. This has made me aware of my affinity for commercial illustration and confirmed my desire to pursue this sector. After graduating, I aim to refine my illustration skills further and continue developing my creative voice and style.
