I am a final-year Costume Design and Construction student at Nottingham Trent University with an interest in storytelling through costume. I am particularly passionate about historical fantasy costuming and enjoy researching and experimenting with ways to combine fantasy elements into historical silhouettes. Throughout my studies I have built my skills in historical costume making and designing and have enjoying researching different time periods. Additionally, I have been introduced to millinery which I learnt I had a great passion for. In my final year projects I experimented with designing and constructing for a stage production of Charles Perrault's fairytale, Cinderella, and for a film production of Moulin Rouge and enjoyed learning and practicing various textile and applique techniques to enhance a historically inspired base. I am looking forward to further improving my skills in a career in the costume or wardrobe departments in film and tv.
