My work explores how beauty shape's female identity, beginning with the idea that in society “a woman is beautiful or she is
nothing.” This reflects the ongoing pressure placed on women to meet aesthetic ideals in the modern world. Using oils, acrylics, and
physical elements such as flowers and sculptural forms, I combine man-made objects with natural imagery to explore the symbolic
meanings attached to beauty and femininity.
I focus on qualities often dismissed or overlooked: the delicate, the emotional, and the hyper-feminine. Rather than presenting
these traits as decorative or superficial, I portray them as powerful. Each piece becomes a reclamation of femininity as a force that
actively shapes female identity.
My work also explores the idea of “sickening beauty” and the pressure to pursue aesthetic perfection. Through the tension between
visually beautiful materials and questioning titles, I encourage viewers to reconsider the meaning, value, and reality of beauty.
