Eleanor Harker

I am a final-year BA (Hons) Fashion Design student exploring the transformative power of garments for all genders, shifting focus from the body to what is worn. My collection, ‘The Beauty Behind Hidden Forms’ features exaggerated silhouettes while honouring traditional tailoring. I am committed to mindful design responsibility, incorporating sustainably and ethically sourced materials that reflect my values. Memory is central to my work, expressed through second-hand materials, a considered colour palette, and an original tartan developed from personally significant hues. Lace print further reflects my family heritage. My practice highlights fashion as a form of expression while celebrating heritage and reimagining tradition in a contemporary context. Following graduation, I aim to design responsibly and innovatively, contributing to a new generation of designers. I am passionate about promoting circular fashion and encouraging more sustainable practices throughout the industry.
