Rosie Watton

I am a final year BA (Hons) Costume Design and Construction Student at NTU based in both Nottingham and Birmingham. Throughout my time at university, I have explored and enjoyed many creative routes, discovering a love for textile manipulation, creation and especially embellishment in my costume creations. Over the last three years I have been encouraged to challenge myself, building my confidence and developing my creative skills in drawing, patternmaking, sewing and research. In my two final projects at NTU, I aimed to centre in on the costuming techniques I most enjoy and have found texture to be especially important to my work. In the future I hope to continue my focus on textiles in costume, particularly through felting and beading to create intricate and outstanding garments while exploring the costume industries in both Theatre and Film.
