After three years of studying costume design and making at Nottingham Trent, Rosie Thompson has developed her skills and grown in confidence in her work. With the help of tutors, Rosie has explored new skills such as millinery, pattern cutting, textiles work like embroidery and beading, and has gained helpful expertise in working with difficult fabrics. Rosie has enjoyed the chance to write her own project briefs in third year, giving her the opportunity to imagine and create dream projects, particularly working on a costume for The Winter's Tale and the supernatural character Queen Hermione. After graduation, Rosie plans to hone her skills further at James Maciver Costumes in Olney, where she has some exciting work experience opportunities in the summer!
