Hi I’m Rachael! I’m a final year Illustration (BA) student soon to be based in the West Midlands. Within my work I regularly explore themes of nature, fitting in and friendship. My love for creating at the heart comes from my love of making. I enjoy embracing childhood wonder and as a result enjoy creating artwork for children. Personally, I love creating bright and colourful artwork aiming to bring joy to the mundane every day. I prefer creating tangible pieces of artwork, from bookbinding to paper engineering I love the physicality of different materials. Working things out with my hands and experimenting in analogue ways is my favourite way to work. I hope to continue experimenting with new mediums and ideas after graduation. As well as work more within the children’s publishing and surface pattern industry. Aiming to encourage people to be authentically and unapologetically themselves especially from a young age.
