I’m Louis Wong Ga Kiu (he/him), a final year BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion student from Hong Kong, currently based in Nottingham. My practice centres around styling and creating captivating visual narratives through curation, photography, film and physical media. I blend cultural storytelling with niche aesthetics to deliver outcomes that feel both contemporary and personal. My project New Year, New You reflects this, transforming a simple Chinese New Year dinner into a vibrant, candid photoshoot. Styled and directed by me, it brings my Chinese heritage into conversation with Western digital platforms like Depop, adding curation and edge to everyday rituals. I’m passionate about mixing cultural references and turning niche influences into expressive visuals. Being an international student and frequent traveller has shaped my creative eye—I draw from experience to curate work that’s unique and meaningful. After the course, I hope to start a vintage boutique or intern.
