I’m an Illustration student/maker from Essex who is fascinated by the human experience. Influenced by social history and folklore, I like delving into and lifting the veil on lesser-known stories from the past and present as a means of understanding the world around us. Through my research I often recognise echoes of the past in today’s world, which informs my work. I strive to cut through today's fast-paced madness by focusing on the constant that is nature. I like to skip around expectations of what an illustrator can be. My unconventional worldview as a dyspraxic is expressed in the materials and processes I enjoy making with, such as natural and found objects. I love texture, tactility and working with my hands, regularly employing processes like needlework, collage and papercraft to convey this. I’m interested in working with modelmaking too. Ultimately I want to pursue collaborative work on creative projects, perhaps in film/theatre, in model and prop making or set creation.
