Ines Congratel

Food has always been an integral part of my life, shaping my tastes, my understanding of culture, community, and identity. Growing up in the French countryside with a chef as my dad, I was immersed in a world where meals were more than nourishment, they were moments of joy, tradition, and shared experience. This deep connection to food inspired Hilaritas – Joie de Vivre, my interior design textile collection. Exploring themes of health, diversity, and the intersection of food and luxury, my designs embrace maximalism and texture, bringing materials to life through weaving. Industry experience with Liberty, Casamance, and Romo has taught me to balance creativity with market viability. Recognitions such as the Weavers’ Company Scholarship Award for Excellence, showcasing my work in Paris alongside Paul Vogel, and being a finalist in an AI-driven project have fuelled my passion for textile design and amplified my ambition to work in the industry.
