Honor Schwartz

I am a 2025 graduate from the BA (Hons) Costume Design and Construction course here at NTU. I consider myself to be a unique, and costumer projects allowed me to explore and cultivate skills in many other areas of costuming. I have learned basic skills in millinery, working with buckram, wire petersham and felt. I have learned to use industrial machines for both embroidery and leather, I particularly enjoyed working with leather and will definitely continue to use it in my future projects. I have gained skills in natural and synthetic dye work, breaking down and metal work, methods of which I greatly enjoy and will continue to use in my future projects. Throughout this course I have been able to further these skills which will directly enhance my ability to construct my own custom stays and corsets, a venture I am keen to focus on in the future as corsetry is a particular interest of mine that I wish to further explore.
