I am a woven designer with a deep passion for mental health and its connection to nature, a topic that resonates with me and many others in my life. My graduate collection The Biophilic Approach reflects this passion and aims to evoke a sense of tranquillity while showcasing the growth and skills I have developed throughout my degree. Nature, a subject I feel driven to, is a central theme in my work. Over the course of my textile studies, I have developed a keen ability to curate harmonious colour palettes and produce woven samples that reflect this connection. Through this, I’ve learned that when I connect with a compelling idea or theme, I approach it with focus and determination, driven to explore it fully. A significant moment in my journey was participating in the Paul Vogel competition, where I had the opportunity of presenting my designs and receiving direct feedback. This experience was enriching, offering both feedback and guidance which will continue to inspire me.
