Charlie Claxton

I’m Charlie Claxton, a BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion student. I’m drawn to how fashion and storytelling can mess with how we see things—especially in politics, media, and the people caught up in it. My work leans into the strange, uncomfortable, and surreal. Projects include Crimes Against Fashion, which looks at how right-wing propaganda works visually; Slag Wars, a dystopian story about robots built for servitude fighting back; Zago, a creative zine/film inspired by Elizabeth Holmes and Anna Delvey; and Keeping Up with the Crowndashians, a surreal VHS-style satire following medieval icons in a warped reality-TV format. I’ve been making films since I was 10 and have always been obsessed with controversy, spectacle, and the weird. Anything unhinged is what drives what I create, reflecting how my brain works—offbeat, visual, and layered? After this course, I want to move into creative direction - developing independent projects bold, strange, and CHARLIE CLAXTON!
