Ayiana Rowe

My art tells stories where words fall short stories rooted in identity, culture, and the overlooked beauty of the everyday. As a young Black woman, I work as an illustrator and designer, using a range of different mediums and processes to reframe narratives and celebrate lives too often erased or misrepresented in traditional art. Inspired by artists like Kehinde Wiley and Norman Rockwell, I balance the emotive and the cinematic, the serious and the playful. I strive to honour the nuances of Black British life, using visual storytelling to spark conversation and shift perspectives. My work is a celebration of culture, memory, and the power of visibility- created not just to be seen, but to be felt.
