Amber-Sky Hall

I’m a BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion student from Newark on Trent, working under the artist name SoSkylish. My practice explores visual storytelling through photography, film, and design — often using over-saturated visuals, layered textures, and vibrant colour to build depth. Inspired by surrealism and Mise en abyme, I experiment with repetition, surreal framing, and scale to create moments between fantasy and reality. I’m drawn to colourful urban backdrops for their bold, gritty aesthetic—they’re distinctive, unexpected, and add contrast to my visual style. A pivotal project was Wondrland & Intu the Box, which sparked my fascination with visual layering and manipulating depth. Also featured is WELUV, captured for International Women’s Day while filming my final project, which explores intimacy, youth, and rebellion. My work is mood-led, blending fashion, emotion, and dreamlike distortion.
