Kim Yeoman
I am a final year BA (Hons) Photography student at Nottingham Trent University. I specifically focus my photography work on architecture, usually, I work with modern architecture however, recently challenged myself to shoot older buildings. My photographs present literal images of old halls and houses that are local to me in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The work aims to explore well-known historical buildings and celebrate their beauty, from the design elements to the gardens and the landscapes beyond. I create these images as a stand-in for the building and use particular viewpoints and lighting to showcase the halls at their best. These pictures specifically function as transparent windows on the world. With my photographs, I would like viewers to feel inspired to visit their local landmarks and honour the incredible royal structures built hundreds of years ago.
