This high-end womenswear collection, 'Subuh' (dawn in Malay) is inspired by tradition and craft, mainly deriving from Southeast Asian and African cultures. The personally driven concept of this collection is an homage to traditional handicrafts expressed through the exploration of colour and pattern clash. Mainly inspired by Southeast Asian batik and African clash prints, this collection aims to incorporate the beauty of tradition with contemporary fashion to evoke and celebrate the art of craft and culture. Mei Teng Low has also had a few summer internships in graphic design and fashion. Her work has been shortlisted in the i-dott surface pattern design competition 2020.
