Ró Sillitoe
I am a MA Graphic Design student who also completed a BA (Hons) at Nottingham Trent University. My practice is rooted in my love of colour, vibrancy, and kitsch; I grew up with anime, videogames, rock music, and comic books, which strongly influence my visual language. I started out as a lover of typography and print work, and blossomed along the way; I consider myself a 'jack of all trades' who has passion for many forms of design. I am heavily interested in politics, and submitted a pro-union poster for the Autumn 2020 Art Pack by the Labour Party Graphic Designers organization. For my MA project, I made a short visual novel videogame, inspired by works such as Higurashi, on the positives of autism spectrum disorder. My dream is to be a user interface designer for videogames, or to perhaps even make my own videogames in the future; I am currently working on the user interface for an unreleased multiplayer game called 'Hive of Lies'.
