I am a MA Fashion Communications student. Despite having a criminological background, I discovered a passion for fashion within my gap year, working as a floor manager and visual merchandiser within a fashion retailer. My favourite aspect of this course has been how it has helped me discover new interests and abilities. I have learnt about the fashion industry, trend research, digital design, and industry software’s that has given me a professional advantage. I've been on a journey to discover who I am, my creativity, and this course has pushed me to learn new things. One of my favourite projects was ‘Creative Spin’, a marketing plan and mini campaign that allowed me to put all of my newly acquired knowledge and design skills to produce a functional blog prototype that can be shown to potential employers. Once I graduate, I intend to jump straight into the industry as a social media manager, creating content, strategising, and designing campaigns for fashion brands.
