I am Kate McElduff, a sustainable knitwear designer. As a Student and Course Rep of the MA in Fashion Knitwear, I've striven to develop my communication and design skills, whilst promoting sustainable values. During my time at Nottingham Trent University, I have had the pleasure of being Highly Commended for my presentation and joining The Worshipful Company of Framework Knitters as a Freeman. My recent Postgraduate collection, 'It won't expire.' represents a fashion-forward style incorporating considered shopping consumption. This would highlight buying clothing with the intention of longevity. This would consider fibres, weight, seasons and styling. "My clothing doesn’t have a sell-by date": that quote summarises my values to those who might not have a high knowledge of fashion. It also expresses anti-fast fashion and trends influencing our high consumer values.
